Day 1

Paro to Thimphu: Arrival & Enchanting Encounters

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, your guide welcomes you and drives to Thimphu, the capital city. En route, you stop at the 15th-century Tachogang Lhakhang temple and its iron suspension bridge, offering stunning valley views. Upon reaching Thimphu, the evening is free to wander the vibrant streets, explore local markets, or visit a traditional crafts bazaar. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Thimphu: Dochu La Pass & Cultural Immersion

After breakfast, you drive to the Dochu La Pass (3,088 m), where on clear days the Himalayas including Mount Jomolhari reveal themselves in breathtaking glory. You visit the Druk Wangyal Chorten, a beautiful temple built in honor of the fourth king. Returning to Thimphu, after lunch you explore the National Folk Heritage Museum, the historic Tashichho Dzong fortress by the Wang Chhu River, and the lively craft street. Evening is free for further exploration. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 3

Thimphu to Paro: Sacred Sites & Scenic Views

After breakfast, you visit the Memorial Chorten, built in 1974 in memory of the third king, followed by the Devi Panchayan Mandir and the monumental Buddha Dordenma statue, one of the world's largest Buddha rupas. Then you drive to Paro, stopping at the airport bird's eye viewpoint and riverside. Later, you explore Paro Dzong, a fortress-monastery built in 1646. The evening is free to leisurely explore Paro town. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 4

Paro: Tiger's Nest Monastery Hike or Cheli La Pass Excursion

After an early breakfast, you drive to the trailhead for the iconic hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest, perched on a cliff ledge 900 meters above the valley. The hike takes about 3-4 hours each way, rewarding you with spectacular views. After lunch, you visit the National Museum (Ta-Dzong), which houses priceless historical art and artifacts. Alternatively, you can opt for an excursion to Cheli La Pass for panoramic views of Mount Jhomolhari and Jichu Drake. Evening leisure at Paro. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 5

Paro: Departure from the Happiness Kingdom

After a final breakfast at your hotel, you are transferred to Paro International Airport for your departure flight. As you bid farewell to the serene valleys and prayer flags, you carry with you the lasting memories of Bhutan's unique culture and natural beauty. End of tour services.
