Itinerary
5 Days / 4 NightsSrinagar: Lake City & Mughal Gardens Exploration
Arrive at Srinagar Airport and transfer to your hotel. Begin your Kashmir journey with a city tour visiting the Shankaracharya Temple atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the valley. Explore the magnificent Mughal Gardens: Chashmashahi, Nishat Bagh, and Shalimar Bagh, laid out by Emperor Jahangir. Also pay a visit to the Hazratbal Dargah on the shores of Dal Lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Srinagar to Sonamarg: Meadow of Gold Excursion
Drive to Sonamarg, the 'Meadow of Gold,' situated at 2,743 meters above sea level. The journey takes you through scenic landscapes along the Sindh River, popular for trout fishing. Upon arrival, opt for a pony ride (at your own cost) to the Thajiwas Glacier for snow fun and ice activities. Return to Srinagar in the evening for an overnight stay.
Srinagar to Pahalgam: Valley of Shepherds & Pine Forests
After breakfast, drive 96 km to Pahalgam, the 'Valley of Shepherds,' passing through saffron fields in Pampore and the ancient Awantipura Ruins—a 1,100-year-old Vishnu temple. En route, stop at Mattan Temple. Upon arrival in Pahalgam, enjoy the Lidder River. You can hire a local car (own cost) to visit Aru, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari, or go for pony rides to Baisaran and Snow Valley. Return to Srinagar for the night.
Srinagar to Gulmarg: Meadows of Flowers & Gondola Ride
Drive to Gulmarg, the 'Meadow of Flowers,' at 2,440 meters. Visit the Jai Jai Shiv Shankar Temple and enjoy a Gondola ride (cable car, own cost) from Gulmarg to Kongdori and Affarwat, offering stunning views of the Himalayas. Gulmarg also boasts the world's highest golf course and is famous for winter sports. Return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay.
Departure from Srinagar with Sweet Memories
After breakfast, transfer to Srinagar Airport for your flight home, carrying beautiful memories of Kashmir's lush gardens, snow-capped peaks, and warm hospitality.
