Itinerary
7 Days / 6 NightsCochin to Munnar: Tea Country & Waterfalls
Upon arrival at Cochin, we drive to Munnar (about 5 hours), ascending to 1800 meters above sea level. En route, we visit the scenic Valparai region, Cheeyappara Waterfalls, and vast tea plantations. After checking into the hotel, we explore Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park), home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, and visit the Tea Museum surrounded by lush gardens.
Munnar: Scenic Valleys & Dam Sightseeing
After breakfast, we set out for a full day of sightseeing in Munnar. Highlights include Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothamedu View Point, and the picturesque Blossom Park. Enjoy shopping for local spices and tea, then return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Munnar to Thekkady: Periyar Wildlife Cruise
After breakfast, we check out and drive to Thekkady (about 3 hours), home to the famed Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. On arrival, we check into the hotel and later embark on a game viewing cruise on Periyar Lake, offering glimpses of elephants, deer, and birds. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Thekkady: Jeep Safari & Wildlife Exploration
The day begins with breakfast, followed by an exciting Jeep safari into the Periyar Tiger Reserve. We explore deeper jungle trails, spotting a variety of wildlife including bison, langurs, and if lucky, the elusive tiger. Afternoon is free for optional spice plantation visits before returning to the hotel.
Thekkady to Kovalam: Beach Resort Arrival
After breakfast, we drive to Kovalam (about 6 hours), the international beach destination of Kerala. Upon arrival, we check into a beach resort and spend the evening relaxing on the soft sands as the sun sets over the Arabian Sea. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Kovalam & Trivandrum: Heritage & Beach Bliss
After breakfast, we visit the capital city Trivandrum to explore iconic landmarks like the Napier Museum, Sri Chitra Art Gallery, Zoo, and the historic Padmanabhapuram Temple. Later, we return to Kovalam to enjoy the beach at leisure, watching another spectacular sunset. Overnight at Kovalam.
Kovalam to Trivandrum: Departure with Memories
After a final breakfast, we transfer to Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station (about 30 minutes) for your onward journey. Bid farewell to Kerala with sweet memories of lush hills, wildlife, and serene beaches.
