Itinerary
4 Days / 3 NightsPokhara to Kalikasthan: Drive to Bijaypur & Trek to Scenic Ridge
After a short drive from Pokhara to the trailhead at Bijaypur, the trek begins with a gentle ascent through lush farmlands and small settlements. The trail climbs steadily, offering panoramic views of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges as you approach the village of Kalikasthan (1370m). This peaceful Gurung settlement perched on a ridge welcomes you with warm hospitality and stunning sunset vistas over the Himalayas.
Kalikasthan to Shaklung: Rhododendron Forests & Mountain Panoramas
The second day's trek leads from Kalikasthan to Shaklung (1730m), winding through dense rhododendron and oak forests alive with bird calls. The trail occasionally opens to reveal sweeping views of the Annapurna massif and the deep valleys below. Shaklung is a tiny hamlet where traditional stone houses and terraced fields blend into the mountainside, offering an intimate glimpse into rural Nepali life.
Shaklung to Chisopani: Descend into Subtropical Greenery
Today's journey descends from Shaklung to Chisopani, passing through terraced rice paddies and subtropical vegetation. The trail meanders along ridges with constant views of the Annapurna foothills. Chisopani, a village known for its friendly locals and simple lodges, provides a perfect base to relax and soak in the tranquil mountain atmosphere before the final day.
Chisopani to Begnas Lake & Return to Pokhara: Lakeside Finale
The final trekking day descends gently through farmlands and forests to the pristine Begnas Lake, a tranquil freshwater lake surrounded by lush hills. Upon arrival, enjoy a well-deserved rest by the lakeside, perhaps dipping your feet in the cool water. After a brief stop, you'll drive back to Pokhara, where the tour concludes with memories of serene trails and majestic peaks.
