Itinerary
5 Days / 4 NightsArrival in Kathmandu: Transfer and Program Briefing
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you are received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, a short briefing outlines the program for the days ahead. The evening is free to rest or explore the local area at your own pace. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Kathmandu: Full-Day Guided Heritage Sightseeing
After breakfast, you embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu's most iconic landmarks. The morning covers Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historic royal palace complex, and Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), offering panoramic city views. After lunch, you visit the massive Bouddhanath Stupa, a center of Tibetan Buddhism, and the sacred Pashupatinath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The evening is at leisure back at the hotel.
Kathmandu to Nagarkot: Bhaktapur Visit and Himalayan Views
Today you drive to Nagarkot, famous for its Himalayan panorama. En route, you stop at the medieval Newari town of Bhaktapur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its well-preserved palaces, temples, and squares such as Durbar Square, 55 Window Palace, and Nyatapola Temple. Continue to Nagarkot and check into your resort. Spend the evening soaking in the stunning mountain views. Overnight in Nagarkot.
Nagarkot Sunrise and Return to Kathmandu: Leisure Day
Wake up early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas from Nagarkot viewpoint, with peaks like Mount Everest, Annapurna, and Langtang visible on clear days. After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is free for personal activities such as shopping in Thamel or visiting local markets. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Kathmandu: Optional Everest Flight and Departure
In the morning, you have the option to take an Everest Mountain flight (additional cost) for a one-hour scenic flight over the Himalayas, offering close-up views of Mount Everest and surrounding peaks. After the flight, you are transferred to the airport for your final departure or joining another program. End of tour.
